Peter Younghusband

My name is Peter Younghusband. I am married with 2 adult daughters, Grandfather of one. I am a Registered Nurse with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. I have been reading Christian fiction for nearly 20 years and reviewing them on my blog (now called Perspective By Peter, www.perspectivebypeter.com) since 2013. I have a passion for Christian fiction and review in the genres of military, supernatural, spiritual warfare, edgy speculative fiction, science fiction and fantasy, mystery and suspense from a Christian worldview. To authors, I can offer a review, interview, guest post, blog tour, author/novel spotlight. My blog, when it was called Reviews by Peter, won 2 Awards in 2017 and 2018 for being in the Top 50 Blogs for Christian Book Review blogs and the Top 100 Fiction Blogs. I am a member of the Development Team of The Crossover Alliance (which Nathan James Norman is too) and the Board of Directors of PJC Media, run by author, Parker J Cole, which functions to promote authors, their novels and all things relating to authors and writing via The Write Stuff Radio Show.

Nathan James Norman is a husband, father, and pastor. He is the senior pastor of The Orchard Church in Northern Michigan. He also serves in Vietnam with CrossTalk Global. In addition to ministry service, he is an author, audio producer and a collaborator with the newly launched Supersonic Pod Comics.

The Contest

All prize money will be distributed via PayPal to a PayPal account
- Authors receive a randomized picture, and write a piece of flash fiction inspired from the picture.
- Submissions should be flash fiction 300-1000 words.
- All speculative genres are acceptable (science fiction, fantasy, supernatural, horror, strange, etc.).
- Every story must have an obvious connection to the assigned picture.
- All submissions should be sent in *.doc/*.docx format.
Who?
- All writers from a general orthodox Christian belief are invited to submit a story.
Where?
- Authors should complete the entry-request form on this page.
- Authors will receive a randomized picture.
- Submissions should follow the general rules on our submissions page.

When?
- Submissions will be accepted March 11, 2019 – April 29, 2019

The Contest
- Submissions will be judged by Peter Younghusband (Reviews by Peter), Lauren Zysk-Parry, and Nathan James Norman (Untold Podcast).
- The judges will select the top five stories.
- Stories will be produced in July 2019.
- After production, voting will be opened to the general public.
The Prizes
- First Place wins $100
- Second Place wins $50
- Third Place wins $25
- Fourth Place receive our standard $10
- Fifth Place receives our standard $10
